## Site Selection Software FAQ

### Is Vista's site selection software free?
The System is free to use, with no credit card and no time limit. Navigator comes with Vista's incentive compliance service. The Development Impact Model is available as a standard model communities can purchase, or as a custom model our team builds. Contact us for a demo of either.

### What data does The System use?
The System is built on 1,400+ demographic variables mapped to 2.9 million H3 hex cells covering the entire United States. Demand-side tools (The Grid, GridIQ, Void Report, Brand White Space) cover consumer and market intelligence; supply-side tools (LaborIQ, Workforce Matrix, Site Labor Comparison, Turnover Risk, SiteDNA, Relocate) cover workforce and labor.

### How is this different from retail location analytics software?
Most location analytics software is built for retail: foot traffic, trade areas, and store performance. Vista's tools are built for the whole site selection decision, including industrial, corporate, and public-sector projects, so they also cover workforce by occupation, labor competition and turnover risk, incentives, and compliance after the award. The System still includes retail tools like Void Report and Brand White Space for consumer-facing projects.

### Can Vista help screen data center sites?
Yes, through our data center site selection practice (https://www.vistasiteselection.com/services/data-center-site-selection/). Data center screening starts with power, fiber, land, and incentives, so our team validates substation capacity and utility timelines directly and negotiates incentives, while The System adds the labor and market side of the analysis.

### Do I need a consultant to use The System?
No. The System is self-serve, and GridIQ lets you describe your business in plain English while the AI picks and weights the variables. When a decision needs a full multi-state search, incentive negotiation, or board-ready analysis, Vista's team runs the same platform at depth on your behalf.
